Fluffy

A photo of my first ever cat, Fluffy, whom I had from 1982 (the year I was born) through 1985 (she got hit by a car. My mom said she just wouldn't stay out of the street). Though I don't think I was born yet when this photo was taken. I don't even know exactly when this photo was taken. Interesting story behind her name. Her full name was Fluffy Nefertiri. At the time, my parents had a dog named Sinuhue (or Sinuhe, I have absolutely NO idea how to spell it). She was named after a character in one of my dad's favorite movies, "The Egyptian" (it's an old movie from the 1950's. I've never seen it). My parents wanted to name the cat they adopted Nefertiri to go with Sinuhue, but my grandmother got to her first, and she became Fluffy (because my grandmother always names her cats Fluffy). So she became Fluffy Nefertiri, but we all called her Fluffy for short.
